Description
After a nice hike up Ventana Canyon, you are rewarded with two cluster of real good boulders in a beautiful setting.
The lower boulders (Mystic Boulders) are a cool combination of water polished gneiss and highly textured gneiss, ofter on the same problem. This area is small, but the quality is top notch for Tucson.
The upper boulders are similar in quality to Hairpin. Big and overhanging chunks of polished stone. The landings up here can be pretty bad, limited the potential somewhat, but there will be a good handful of quality problems.
I know there has been activity here in the past. I have begun adding names to things to aid in communication and organization. If you know of any names for problems, I'd be happy to change anything posted.

Getting There
Driving:
Take Sabino Canyon Rd north, continuing north after the road becomes Kolb Rd. Just north of the entrance for Loews Ventana Canyon Resort is an entrance for Trailhead parking. Park here, trailhead is obvious.
Hiking:
Follow well maintained and well traveled trail for about a mile along the public/private easement. You will hike through a fence, then about 1/3 mile later (after the third stream crossing) the first cluster will be on the west side of the creek (the trail will be on the east side of the creek). The upper cluster is up higher, where the trail veers left and uphill, follow the creek right and uphill to the obvious boulders.
