DNR wants to pass on a friendly reminder to display your Discover Pass, not block any gates, and park well off the road to prevent getting ticketed or towed. Access Fund and Washington Climbers Coalition continue to partner with DNR on stewardship and management of the Gold Bar Boulders and their access sites. Description
Large 15 to 20 foot high, slightly overhanging boulder located in the forest above the road to the clear cut. Sits in a clearing so it dries fast when sunny. Great landings and has some fun problems you can hit up on the way to the main bouldering area.
Getting There
Park just past the campground area and walk about past the two overhanging boulders that stick out on the north side of the road (see pic of these boulders). When you are about 50 meters past these boulders, go straight up into the forest. You will come to the cereal boulder in less than five minutes. It is huge and in a clearing so you can't miss it.
