Description
Bouldering along the southern end of the Tumbled Rocks Trail. This area extends from South Shore Road up to the Anchorpoint - Great Tower - Prospect Point line. Some problems are found just below the roped climbing areas, others are in the wooded talus below.
Getting There
Park at the southwest parking area off South Shore Road, across from the boat ramp. Hike west across Messenger Creek to Cottage Grove Road.
Walk along Cottage Grove road, passing the cottages, along the Tumbled Rocks trail. This includes (south to north)
- Tranquility Pillar (Stettner Rocks)
- Double Elephant and Public Enemy up to Porkchop Buttress
- Trailside
- Alpine Club/Keymaker
- Anchorpoint, with Hidden Peak, TCC Pillar and Ace of Spades
Or head up the West Bluff trail for areas near
- Misery Rocks, including problems at the base of Misery, and down at Lincoln's Chair
- Cleopatra's Needle (Relic)
- Beween the Ferns
- Prospect Point (45 Degree Boulder)
