Description
Flaming George has a lot of untouched climbing potential. Most routes that can be climbed are on the utah side on one of the peninsulas or going through the canyons. Horseshoe Canyon, and Sheep Creek have some epic lines that haven't been documented. The area is not crowded, typically sunny and with a variety of rock types to climb.
Getting There
Coming from the west or east you take 1-80 to 530 south. Take this for about 1 1/2 hours to right before you enter the city of Manila. The Valley will be on the east side of the road. Most of the road to the marina gives some good 70' wall climbing potential. Most of it is sand stone in the valley so be careful. Since climbers haven't climbed the routes some of the rock can be loose. Your typical approach time is anywhere from 5-10 minutes depending on the route you desire.
