Access Issue: PARKING ALONG HIGHWAY 19 Details

**NO PARKING SIGNS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED ALONG ROUTE 19 WHERE IT HAS BEEN CUSTOMARY TO PARK FOR MEADOW RIVER CLIMBING AND BOATING ACCESS. THIS MEANS NO PARKING ALONG ROUTE 19 SOUTH, BETWEEN THE BRIDGE AND UNDERWOOD RD.

THERE IS A NEW PARKING LOT ON DIETZ ROAD OFF OF UNDERWOOD ROAD, PLEASE CARPOOL***

This is a small crag that is home to a few short, but quality sport climbs. There are many more short, easy routes than described here, mostly clustered around the far right end of the cliffline around the Roy Davies area. These are great beginner climbs, but be aware that most are mixed, requiring some trad gear to supplement the bolts you see from the ground. This area can also get congested with guided groups. Be cool, courteous, and try to maintain a low profile.

Getting There

This area has the shortest approach of all of the Meadow River crags. From the pull off at the top of the hill on Underwood Road, follow the ATV trail down the hill. As rock begins to appear on your right, follow the ATV trail to the right until you find the first path to the right. This path will lead you directly to the Tan Wall. (5 minutes)
