Cova Area

International > Europe > Spain > Mallorca > Cala Barques

Description

The Cova area has many routes that vary between 5.10 and 5.13, with one ascent/descent route which goes closer to 5.8 or 5.9. The climbing is varied and interesting. Several routes take advantage of the caves many stalactites. Many of the routes are S0 but care must be taken to avoid a few shallow spots around the cave.

Getting There

From the Cala Barques beach, follow the rocky coast to the left of the beach. The Cova area is defined by the large cave filled with stalactites 150 meters from the beach.
