The Brothers' Lookout 2nd Tier

Colorado > Morrison/Evergr… > Alderfer/Three Sister…
Warning Access Issue: West side of park complete closure information DetailsDrop down

Description

The rock is of good quality. The landings can be a little rough, so bring some friends, and make sure they bring all their pads. There are four main areas that make up this broken world of highball bouldering and broken cliff bands.

The "Leftism Alcove" offers the best in shaded climbing, but the tall prize climbing is found on the "Left Brain Buttress".

There are also a nice selection of easy and enjoyable slab line located on the south side of the second tier, a truly magical place to climb and a must visit if you are around "The Brothers' Lookout."

Getting There

From the 1st parking lot, take the Sisters trail until it meets up with the Ponderosa. Take a left (west) for about 50 yards and look up to your right and you will see the Brothers Lookout lower tier. This is where "The Wisdom Wall" is located. Once you have got the lower tier spotted, just bush whack your way towards the while staying slightly EAST of main terrace. Continue past the first tier via a gully that is best accessed from the far EAST of The Brothers Formation. Walk up the gully looking to your right and you will start to see the hidden jewels of the 2nd Tier.
