Description

North Park is a fun area with lots of short moderate sport routes with interesting large features for holds. The area is well bolted and very friendly to climbers beginning to lead. It is possible to top rope most of the climbs via scramble.

Getting There

Park at the Chopping Block/South Seas Parking area and walk North West (towards Horse Thief Lake) down Hwy 244 for approximately 200 yards. Look South (left as you are walking towards Horse Thief Lake) as soon as you pass the rock that has been blasted out to construct the Hwy and you will see a faint trail. Take this trail and walk approximately 50 yards and you come to a rock with two bolted routes ascending fins and flakes. Continue up the trail another 50 yards for the rest of the routes.

An alternative and potentially easier way to get there is to park at the Wrinkle Rock Camp Ground. Walk behind the outhouse toward hwy 244(west). Walk between two rocks where a bunch of small trees have been recently cut down. Cross the road and you should see the small trail heading into the forest.
