Description

A small, high-quality section of cliff that presently only has 3 routes. With cleaning, much potential should exist to the right of these three routes.

Getting There

From the Main Cliff follow the trail 200' along the cliff band, passing some chossy rock. You'll reach a corner where the trail drops off. The large corner with the striking handcrack is "Buffalo Bob".

Right end new routes:
I could not find any info on the Adirondack rock new route page or here, but wanted to mention, that there are two new 5.10 routes just before the right end of Deadwater. There are tags hanging from the bottom bolt on each with a name and grade for them both. One is 10- and fully bolted and the other 10+ and mixed. They each have drop in bolt anchors at the top.

Also there is now a new(ish) drop in bolt anchor directly above the Buffalo Bob corner crack. So overall there are 4 sets of anchors in that right end corner area now. Not sure when this happened, but this is as of late Oct. 2017. Thanks for the development to whoever put in the time!

Finally, I climbed the two cracks on the face just left of the Buffalo Bob corner crack, and just right of the arete to the arete and stayed on the stepped ledgey sky line to the either sets of bolts over the new 10+ or over to the new bolts on Buffalo Bob. Doubt this is anything new, but it is easy climbing and works as a great lazy mans way to access two separate sets of anchors to top rope off of. Oct 30, 2017
