A: Lake Champlain Region

New York > Adirondacks

Description

The Lake Champlain Region encompasses a multitude of crags, cliff lines, and mountains that are concentrated between Route 9 and Interstate 87 within the Park. The region extends all the way to Lake Champlain, though the majority of the climbing exists around the I-87 corridor.

Getting There

Interstate 87 (The Northway) between exits 29 and 33 is where the majority of the climbing in this region resides. From Vermont, you can take one of the three ferries that crosses Lake Champlain, or you can drive south around the Lake via the Crown Point Bridge.
