DescriptionThis alcove located directly behind (North) Gilligan's Island features steep over hanging climbing. The rock quality is only ok, but this area is still worth a visit.
The climbing is good during all seasons but winter. Just left of the alcove is a small pinnacle that has one of the better lines of the whole area. It's called "Scurvy", and it will test your sloper, balance and mantling skills to the limit. If you're in the area, it is a must try!!
Getting TherePark in the West side parking lot. Take the Blue Brid Meadow Trail to Gilligan's Island. Once you run into the Homestead Trail go let and head west around to the back side of the Island. Once you are almost all the way around the Island and can start to see the open fields again turn left into a small brush less opening heading farther north. Keep looking to your left and you will see the alcove.
