This sector is one of the most central at Font and is home to many of the forest's most classic circuits and problems. As such, the Cuvier areas will often be more crowded than other sectors. Despite this, the area is not to be missed; the bouldering here epitomizes Font.

The area is located about 5km from Fontainebleau town along the major D607 road towards Barbizon. There is a large parking lot at Cuvier, the largest sector.
