Boulder 401 Area

Wisconsin > Governor Dodge SP

Description

A secluded south facing collection of bluff line and a bunch of boulders. Some big some small, exploration still needs to be done.

Boulder # 401 - High up just next to cliff band. Has a striking finger crack right up the middle.
Grey Boulder - Large boulder close to the horse trail.
Boulder Garden - A collection of smaller boulders on the next small bluff over. Due east from #401 by about 100yrds
Good Day Governor Boulder - South side of the horse trail, just over a very small bluff.

Getting There

Continue down the main road (past the turnoff for group site B and the qual wall) toward twin valley lake. Park just past a large horse trail in a mini parking lot. Hike east (away from the lake) on the horse trail. Stay left on the main trail for about an 8 min walk. You should see a few large boulders just off the left hand side of the trail beneath some powerlines. Hike into the woods towards these boulders, and see what you can find.

[Hide Comment] You can walk straight up the trail that start across from the further driveway, and it meets up with the horse trail. Apr 11, 2009
