Southeast Face

Colorado > CO Ice & Mixed > Colorado Spring… > Pike's Peak

Description

I believe this is one of the best virtually untouched place on Pike's Peak.

Getting There

This side is hard to get to. You hike from Barr Trail or descend the summit.

The Pink Bastion, in all her glory. There's a mighty fine looking, splitter dihedral on the east ridge. Harvey climbed this formation back in '63! Badass.

[Hide Comment] The South Cirque has north - east - south facing aspects and has many lines from steep snow to mixed to alpine rock routes. Getting there is harder than other areas on Pikes Peak and thus, you'll have the area to yourself. Explore and enjoy. May 31, 2013
