Getting weather forecast...

Description

Sadly after 20 years The Rock Barn has been forced to close, due to lack of income. We appreciate the business and loyalty over the past 20 years. Thank you for a great run.

and we are still going strong at Vertical Dreams if you are looking for that homey feel that the barn always had...

Thanks very much Jim for letting me do my first lead in the barn with you on belay when i was maybe 14 and knew next to nothing... you inspired me that day and now 20 years later climbing is my life... Apr 24, 2011

It's part of NH history. May as well keep the entry with the note that it is closed.

As a commercial prospect, I think the Barn was always handicapped by the fact that it started out as a private gym for a group of local friends. It would have taken a full redoing, with proper insulation, reliable hours, septic system etc. to bring in more regular clientele. It will be missed, especially occasionally running into Jim there or when we had RCA meetings.

I hear a mega gym is in the works for Concord. Apr 24, 2011

After twenty years or good times and enjoyable business The Rock Barn has shut its doors. On behalf of Jim and the rest of us who have worked there over the past 20 years we would like to say thank you for countless good times and helping us stay open as long as we did, we are forever grateful.

Jay feel free to remove The Rock Barn entry when you feel appropriate, maybe let it stay up for a while as another way to let people know that we are no longer open. Apr 23, 2011
