Description Suggest change

The closest climbing crag to a trailhead at Old Rag (that is, if you're coming from the Berry Hollow side). It's about a 2 mile hike.

Good quality trad, sport, and toprope.

This northwest facing cliff is out of the sun for a good share of the day. As such, it is one of the better options for climbing at Old Rag in the summertime.

Getting There Suggest change

From Berry Hollow, head up to the Saddle Trail. Continue past the Old Rag Shelter till the trail winds through a two-story boulder and shortly thereafter reaches the first set of stone steps.

A little way up the steps, where the path takes a right turn, there is a climbers trail on the left, marked by a cairn (and a fallen log, parallel to the trail -- see the comments section). Follow the trail for 100 meters, until it turns uphill near a slight ridge. Follow the trail uphill for 150 meters and then take a left through a break in the rock. Follow the trail to the Lower Sunset Wall.
