Description

The Whining Dog Wall is perhaps the best, moderate bouldering wall in all of Flagstaff. This beautiful black and blue, perfectly bulging wall is lined with classic problems, and perfect holds. First developed in the early 1990's, this wall is as good as it gets.

This wall is formed in such a way as to provide very classic traverse problems, as well as numerous eliminate problems.

Jeremy, the picture posted here is indeed the whining dog wall. I am glad it has not fallen into obscurity and new climbers discovered it. Its a classic wall. Dave Gershwin and I devoloped it in the mid nineties. Along with the booze pig and long ryders wall, developed by drysdale, the lake Mary limestone bands hold much promise still. Mar 17, 2011
Dave Gershwin and Jeff Ludwig showed me these walls about a year after Rob Drysdale died, sometime in 1993, we were calling one of these "The Whining Dog Wall". Sep 11, 2008
