Description
Marquette County has turned into a legit outdoor recreation destination. The Mountain Bike Trails are epic (NTN); Great Lakes surfing and paddling are amazing; excellent hiking; world class xc ski trails; and LOTS of good microbreweries. And, there is great, diverse climbing. From sport crags like AAA, Slug’s, Top of the World, and Suicide, to granite boulders right on the lake at Wetmore and Little Presque, to trad crags like Palmer and Cliffs Ridge, there is something for everyone here. Marquette is the perfect destination for a multi-sport vacation. Marquette County is also unique in that it has a large assortment of rock types: granite, quartzite, and basalt.
