At low tide it is possible to walk/rock hop/scramble to lovers beach along the west side of the point. It's adventurous and there are some old bolts along the way to think about. . . Feb 15, 2013

The scramble from lovers beach to the top of the arch is amazing! Find a suitable rock ramp on the Pacific side and find your way to the top via easy 4th class scrambling. From there descend the knife edge ridge on to the arch. Getting on top of the arch pinicle is low 5th class climbing and offers amazing views with an audience of boat tours below. Oct 12, 2016

Just got back from CABO and the water taxis weren't allowed to land on lover's beach. The ocean was rough! Jul 12, 2017
It seems that water taxis are allowed to land as of 1/31/2018. Cost is around $20 usd. Did not find the blocky ramp described by austin, but the water seemed a little high. There are a couple things you could sling and top rope, but the rock is extra crumbly and cracks are w i d e so watch out for that. I did rope solo a 5.0 crack slung of a horn under a couple bolts, but it was not worth bringing my route just for that! Jan 1, 2018

I live in cabo. This area is horrible for climbing for 2 reasons. Brittle rock and it's illegal in the spots that you would want.
The bouldering is the only thing worth doing. Some v1-5? at the divorce beach. But I have to warn you, it gets a lot of sun.

There are 2 hikes you can do to get there if you don't want to take a water taxi.
1: hike up the mount from the "local beach" (playa empacadora)
2: hike/traverse along the coast line of the "local beach"

Hike 1, is roughly a 1hr hike to go up to the cross and down. ( if you do this, be ware of loose rocks, wear boots or good shoes that protect your ankle)
Hike 2, you can only do during low tide and eventually, you might have to swim about 50 meters...depending.

Regardless of which way you go, take snorkel gear and some can beer for fun. Both hikes pass/end at good snorkel spots.

By the time you are done, if you are tired, you can water taxi your way back. Usually taxies stop around 5-6pm.
The cost is typically $100-150 mxn (pesos) in either direction. If they try to charge you $20 usd, talk them down.
As a local, I typically only pay $70...but I'm a local and the economy in cabo is based on tourism, so be kind ;) Oct 17, 2018

How is the weather there on average at the end of January, early February? My husband and I are dreaming up a trip to Los Cabos and we love snorkeling and would love to boulder. Thanks :-) Jan 9, 2019 · Temporary Report
