(a) Northeast Buttress

California > Tahquitz & Suic… > Tahquitz Rock

Description

This seldom visited portion of Tahquitz is located on the far left side of the rock and is fairly slabby with the exception of the Y Crack Buttress. Routes here range in length from 1-2 pitches in length.

Routes to do here include Last Grapes (5.9), The Y Crack (5.10b), My Pink Half of the Drainpipe (5.10b), Birdman (5.11b) and The Green Rosetta (5.11c).

Getting There

The best approach/descent is via the North Fork trail, but it's possible to traverse left along the base from any point on the rock if already up there.
