The Stairs aka "Giant Steps"

New Hampshire > WM: Bartlett /… > Stairs Mountain

Description

A really cool secluded setting with good south facing rock and quick access from the trail.

Getting There

Jericho Road, n of Bartlett at the river. Go to the end and park. Easy hiking along the river leads to the Stairs Col trail. Up this for about 20 minutes and a nice face just off the trail on the right.

[Hide Comment] I was thinking we should make the Upstairs and Back Stairs as sub-areas of Stairs Mountain and also make a "Giant Steps" or "The Stairs' sub-area and move Final Frontier into that. What do people think? John? And then we can work on filling out the information. Aug 21, 2013

[Hide Comment] Absolutely. I bet an annotated satellite image would show the relationship of the 3 cliffs... along with my 2nd image showing the southern of the too. This place is really cool and the camp spot at the top of the giant col trail is stellar (aside from being a mile or so from any water). Aug 21, 2013
