Deadman Summit

California > Sierra Eastside > June Lake Area > June Lake Bouldering

Description

Terrific bouldering area right off the highway, yet secluded and pleasant. Quite a few classic tall problems on good volcanic rock. There are three distinct areas the further west you go from the highway, yet most people are satisfied with the first pullout. This is a great place to bring a beginning or intermediate boulderer. Free camping!

Getting There

Go north from Mammoth on the main highway. Take a left just before you reach the top of Deadman's Summit.
