Description
A small area of good moderately graded problems. The beauty of the setting, and the quality of problems makes this an good place for a quick visit.
Despite the altitude it gets very hot in summer. Spring and fall are ideal.
The rock is pocketed tuff, very similar to the rock at Catacombs. Infact Catacombs lie directly east across the Owens River Gorge.
Getting There
From the Sherwin Summit sign on the 395 turn east along the 4S43. After just over a mile swing left along the 4S05 into a open valley. Drive 3/4 of the way along the valley (about 1/2 mile) and then right turn heading up the hill. Follow this for 1/4 mile and just after it levels off park up. The boulders are easily seen on the left.
