The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description
The Lost Horse Area covers problems along the Lost Horse Road and includes Blas Beemer Boulder, Cheese Boulder, Hemingway Boulders etc. as well as the large open area to the southwest of it with the extensive Jimmy Cliff Area.
Depending on which area you choose it may be easier to approach from the Lost Horse Road or the parking area at Real Hidden Valley. Approaches vary from 5-20 minutes with easy walking on level ground the norm.
