Description
Box Springs Mountain Reserve is a 3,400 acre open area that acts as a buffer between parts of Riverside and Moreno Valley and is popular as a nearby escape from the city.
Most of the areas are reached by hiking on steep hillsides so expect a strenuous hike with nice views - one notable exception is the Pigeon Pass Area which typically offers more level terrain.
