Beer Garden

New Mexico > New Mexico, oth… > Last Chance Canyon

Description

The Beer Garden offers a handful of brilliant routes on excellent limestone. Several blue and gray streaks paint the pocketed wall. Routes here are long and vertical to slightly overhanging, and usually have a slab finish. This cliff faces west. The routes receive little sun in the winter due to the crags low position in the canyon.

Getting There

Continue down canyon past the Violence Wall, Mad Cow Wall, and Hueco Cave. The Beer Garden is located on the East wall of the canyon, at a point immediately after the canyon turns abruptly to the North. Routes begin right out of the stream bed.

[Hide Comment] I haven't done any of these routes, but they all appear to be of excellent quality, and likely in the 5.11-5.12 range. Jan 22, 2008

[Hide Comment] Black & Tan was a great 12a and consistent with others of the same grade in the canyon that we did. The grey streak just to the right is awesome 12a to a v7 to sweet 5.10... I thought 13a-c (seemed like a height dependent crux?) great routes! So much more to develop here! MEGA. -Noah May 1, 2016
