Bodick Road Area

California > High Desert > Johnson Valley Area

Description

This is the first sizable cluster of rocks encountered when heading north from Yucca Valley. This area sits on the right side (east) of Hwy 247.
This area is very trashed with dumped trash and spray paint, but a few things of interest exist.

Getting There

Head north from Yucca Valley on Old Woman Springs Rd./Hwy. 247. Johnson Valley is reached after about 17 miles. This is the first area encountered and is just before Bodick Rd.
Dirt roads run all around this area and there are plenty of spots to park.

Carlo and Mitchell getting ready for their first driving lesson, Bodick Road, Johnson Valley Area. We found this half-heap around the backside of the formation. It fit right in with all the other junk sitting around. Never did find the other half though.
