Description
Choose your shade or sun. The Pinnacle seems to stay mostly in the sun and the main crags in the shade.
Great quality basalt for being right on the beach! Take a dip in the salt water between routes.
This area can get quite busy. Bring a helmet.

Getting There
From Dunedin -
Follow road 88 to Port Chalmers. As soon as the speed limit drops to 50km l=turn left onto Borlasses Road, then almost immediate right onto Blueskin. Continue on blueskin to a right onto Purakanui. Stay right (straight) onto Mihiwaka until it ends into Beach street. Turn left on Beach and that road dead ends into the car park.
The walk approach is about 10 minutes or so.
