Access Issue: Private Property: Open (with restrictions) Details

Please be respectful of the climbing area and minimize your impact. Access is open but keep a low profile.

The trail leading to the upper wall (just west of Psychology wall) is slowly wearing away. The trail actually continues past the large Ponderosa instead of leading straight up the talus/dirt slope. Please be mindful as we would like to climb here for years to come!

Description

A south facing crag about 15 minutes west of Kalispell, MT. Typically crowded on weekends with locals. Chossy rock, as is commonplace up in MT, but quality routes none-the-less. Easily accessible (can bumper belay) and pretty easy for top rope set up.

The Northwest Montana Climbers Coalition is the local climbing stewardship and advocacy organization; contact them with any questions or concerns about crag access, development, or stewardship.

Getting There

Drive West on Highway 2 out of Kalispell heading towards Libby. Turn right about .5 miles after you go over a big hill onto Jackson Meadows Road. Make the first immediate left (there used to be a cattle guard but it was removed) onto a rough dirt road and drive until you hit the crag. Please park so that others can enjoy it too (there's a nice pull-out about 100 yds back from the first wall).
