Description

A south facing crag about 15 minutes west of Kalispell, MT. Typically crowded on weekends with locals. Chossy rock, as is commonplace up in MT, but quality routes none-the-less. Easily accessible (can bumper belay) and pretty easy for tope rope set up.

Getting There

Drive West on Highway 2 out of Kalispell heading towards Libby. Turn right about .5 miles after you go over a big hill onto Jackson Meadows Road. Make a left after the cattle guard and drive until you hit the crag. Please park so that others can enjoy it too (there's a nice pull-out about 100yds back from the first wall).

Is there a topo available for this cliff?
Coming down in summer with 10 year old and wanna TR him on something low grade.
Are the anchors easy to access?
thanks peeps Feb 26, 2013
I appreciate that there is climbing nearby, when one needs a break from a Glacier hiking vacation. Thank you, to whomever put in the time here. However, this wall fairly offends me. Higher bolts and lower cruxes can be forgiven well enough. Crumbly rock at the top is what you have to deal with; so be it. But to claim some of these ratings is comedic and dangerous. Don't even think of leading these, unless you are solid on 2-3 grades higher. There are some interesting moves to be had; but when you enter with a certain expectation, and it gets drastically blown out of the water, you can't help but wonder if the route developers are so beyond skilled that they don't actually know what a 9-10b feel like, or they are simply don't know what a 9-10b feel like. Be careful here! Aug 2, 2015

For everyone and to reply Greg: there is an interesting booklet - the author is Tyler Hawk - with all the Kila Grag topos at the Rocky Mountain outfitters store (Kalispell). Found top-rope only people: anchors are easily accessible. Oct 13, 2015
Does anyone know the older couple that unofficially take care of this place?? Mar 11, 2018
