Description
The Principal is the largest of the towers of Frey. Several routes of varying difficulty ascend every aspect.
Getting There
From the refugio ascend to the saddle to the west of the lake and approach past the Aguja M2 and Abuelo. Eventually traverse right, following well marked cairns, keeping under El Tonto (on your left). After some stream greenery, head up the rocky screen and then finish by ascending an increasingly blocky ridge to the base of Ruta Normal.
East face climbs can be accessed by going left towards the end of this approach, other routes may require other modifications.
