Getting weather forecast...

Description

The rock is granite, very dusty which makes it very hard to smear. It is a sunny place most all of the year so bring the sun screen. It is a popular place on the weekends but pretty quiet during the week.
There are bolted routes.5.6-5.11 also some trad there too. There is a lot of loose rock around. Be careful.

Getting There

You head East from Lima you can either grab a cab 45min and fairly expensive (round trip s/140) or a bus (1.5 hours each way s/2.50 each way per person)The climbing area is about 15 minutes outside of Ricardo Palma. just past a place called Sol de campo. The crag is a few minute walk away from the highway crossing a rickity swinging bridge. Then the trail goes to the right and wanders through some farm areas.

Head East (left) right after crossing the bridge, the trail to the right goes back to the central highway through another bridge. The trail to the left enters farms and crosses in front of a little house, but follow the ditch up and you'll soon be at the base of the crag. Mar 30, 2014
