Description
Davidson Park is nestled in the heart of Westby, WI. The park holds some excellent sandstone boulders with problems for climbers of all abilities. Dave Groth and Kevin Hanson developed the area in the early 90's and opened up some awesome boulder problems. The nature of the rock is high in slopers, much like the climbing found in the south-east part of the U.S. Moss and lichen move in fast, so get out and climb to keep the rocks clean!
Fall is the best time to climb here. Spring and summer are ok , but can be very wet and it takes Westby a long time to dry out after rain. Regardless, Westby holds high quality rock with super fun problems, and it's free.

Getting There
Westby lies roughly 20 miles SE of LaCrosse on Highway 14. In town take W Park St. towards Davidson Park. If you have trouble finding it just stop and ask someone in town, Westby locals are very friendly. Park in the lot or on the street, and you can't miss the boulders. The park is small and was built around the rock. Bring your friends and enjoy!
