[Hide Comment] Watch for rockfall in this area, especially near the backside of Cereal Buttress near Instant Surreal. There have been big microwave sized rocks that have come down near climbers. Sep 7, 2016

[Hide Comment] This is a beautiful, secluded area .... The wall is most impressive and has superb rock quality. The climbing is adventurous and aesthetic. A hidden gem!! Oct 30, 2016

[Hide Comment] PSA:
Matty J and I were at the base of Nut'n Homo/Wild Hickory Nuts when a glass bottle came down and hit him (belayer) in the leg and broke. Thankfully we made it out ok, I had just placed one microcam and we decided to GTFO because a lot of stuff (rocks/branches) was coming down. I think it was caused by the wind, because the bottle was an old dirty milk bottle that appeared to have aged or perhaps cooked from the fire.
ALWAYS wear your helmet at the base of the mountain, even if you're not climbing/belaying. Anything of consequential weight that comes down 400 feet of Cereal Wall can be detrimental to your health.
Also, please be mindful of your waste (bottles especially). Leave No Trace.
Hikers, when near the edge of a summit, take care not to knock anything loose on an unsuspecting party. THANKS! Apr 15, 2017
[Hide Comment] Thanks for the heads up. Maybe we should have another CCC cleanup round over there. That spot is particularly bad because it's below "party rock" -- which well explains the trash and the recent fire.

On a similar note, some people were throwing stuff off the Nose at LG just the other day. Not extremely common but it does seem to be a favorite pastime for some. Just look at all the glass I collected from the base there last week.
