Description
Northumberland offers some of the best and hardest climbing around on solid sandstone in an idyllic location. Since it is on the Eastern side of the country it is often dry when other areas are wet. A wet day in Edinburgh or Newcastle may still be be OK in the county. Some of the best climbing is to be had in winter when the temperatures dip below freezing and the friction is at its best.
Getting There
Drive North from Newcastle on the A1 to Belford, then turn West on minor roads.
