Seismic Wall A.K.A. Maggie's Wall

Texas > Austin Area > Barton Creek Greenbelt

Description

A nice wall with sport routes from 5.6 to 5.12a. Probably about 30 routes total. Faces East. Most of the routes are well shaded by trees.

Getting There

Going west on Hwy 71 on the southside of Austin, you will come to a light just before intersecting with Hwy 360. There will be a business park on the right(north) side. Turn into this busines park and make your way towards the wooded area on the west side, park either in the dirt parking lot or business park and hike along the trails. You will see that wall across the creek bed.
There are several ways to get here by hiking along the creek also.

Also wear some shoes you can get wet for wading through the creek. The rocks on the bottom are unpleasant without shoes. Jan 8, 2016

[Hide Comment] Fun climbing, super easy access. "Cleanest rock" I've found so far in the Austin area. Not many comments on the polished nature of the climbs. Not sure I've seen it's equal. Slick is an understatement! "Dry point"- crampons and axes... might be an opportunity :) We ratcheted down a full number grade and had a fun day. Bring a long stick-clip. Must for the area!
