Description
Fairfield East is the furthest right crag on the crags known as Fairfield Hill. It is only 300 feet or so left of the crag known as The Wilds at the Main Wall divided by a break in the cliff and a slight elevation gain.
Fairfield East hosts many climbs, which are mostly vertical to less that vertical. However, there are few bulges that offer a few steeper routes. Crimps, flakes, and texture climbing are king out here, which is not to say that an occasional pocket cannot be found.
In 2011, a fire affected many of the routes at this crag. Luckily for us, in 2019, several very motivated locals took it upon themselves to clean up, rebolt, and generally face lift many of these great routes that were fire affected or put up in haste. Their work has made Fairfield East a much more enjoyable and safe crag!
