The climber's trail that provides access to the North Side of the Butte starts off of the paved trail, just before the firefighters' shrine on the saddle. The trail is marked by a few large stakes/poles in the ground, no more than 50 feet below the shrine/saddle. The trail is pretty hard to follow, since it doesn't see much use anymore. If you see an old Rusty metal sign on a rock, you're on the right track. Nov 3, 2014
