Description

Collection of moderate to easy slabs topropeable for beginners. This cliff sits right on a little swampy pond so beware that when the mosquitoes are hungry you are the first thing they come after!
Bring the family as this area has a great spot to hang out at the bottom and an easy clifftop access and toprope setups off trees.

Getting There

From horse farm parking area (north parking/approach):
Walk down trail for 10 min, until you walk up on some 20ft+ tall boulders on your right, take trail to your right (before Round Pond) continue up trail (there is a sign saying right to upper cliffs and left/straight to lower slabs and boulder natural)

Slabs below upper cliffs.

Delightful area to spend a half day or more. I went on a weekday and still ran into 7 other climbers (3 parties) so I can only imagine how crowded a weekend must be. Easy TR setups off of big trees however there isn't really a true cliff edge here so a large amount of your webbing or rope might rub against the rock. IMO, Bring more than usual amounts of edge/abrasion protection. Aug 20, 2016
I've been here a number of times this June - perhaps it is just the mild summer we're having this year, but this slab seems to be shady, dry and free of bugs even when the rest of the park is a swamp. Jun 27, 2016
