Description

Mainly South facing series of Volcanic Tuff cliffs, although Zigzag Cliff is shaded in the afternoon.

Climbs are short, and generally moderate in difficulty.

Most of the climbs use gear with the occasional bolt.

Getting There

Drive North from Mammoth Lakes on the 395 for 7.5 miles. Shortly after a rest area turn right onto Owens River Road, follow this for 2 miles until you can turn Left into Big Springs Campground.

Follow this for 1.5 miles, until you can turn left onto 2S03. Follow this road to its end (1.6 miles).

Google nor Apple maps show all the roads, an app like Gaia is more helpful. (See GPX: The_stumps.gpx)
