Description
The Shield is located right of center on the west face between the (h) Rubble Row on the left and the (m) Taboo Area on the right, and seen from afar as the smoothest portion of face at the Quarry.
Routes here range from 5.11c to 5.13c with the majority of climbs in the 5.12 and harder range. Some of the better routes in this area include Megalomania (5.12a), Redneck Reality (5.12b), Tattoo (5.13b), Enigma (5.13b) and Gypsy (5.13c).

Getting There
Easily reached by heading for the right side of the Quarry's west face. Aim for the smooth portion of face just down and right from the (h) Rubble Row.
