Description

This is wilderness climbing: no campgrounds, no rescue, loose rock, as close to alpine as you will get in Nova Scotia. Big beautiful virgin rock. Lots of first ascents to be done.

Getting There

Go to the Cabot Trail in the Margree Valley. Find Egypt Rd, turn right onto Fielding Rd. Follow the signs to Cape Clear.

Important Safety Notice

At the moment (Sept. 2020) both the Wave Wall and Headwall are seeing sporadic visits from both climber and developers. Everyone should be aware that there is potential for rockfall hazard anytime someone is either climbing or working on putting up routes. Please use extreme caution when approaching the base of the Wave Wall. Signs will be posted in prominent places on approach trails letting folks know if development and rockfall is active but it is always wise to keep an eye out for people above you who could potentially produce falling rocks or debris. I am currently working on a 5 pitch line on the Wave Wall that requires a significant amount of work to complete. Feel free to contact me to find out when I will be there.
