Description

Climbs located between Mosquito Beach and Chapel Area. This section of cliff line tends to be exposed and steep, with most climbs dropping directly into the lake. There are many unnamed lines along this section of cliff that are not in the guidebook. Explore and have fun.

Getting There

Head east on M58 from Munising. When you reach the small town of Melstrand, look for Chapel Road. Drive as far as you can until the road stops being plowed. This does fluctuate year-to-year, as it is sometimes plowed further for logging or by someone to access a cabin. Park and do not block the road. Work you way to the Chapel trailhead, which can be 1-3 miles depending on where the plowing stopped. It is approximately 2 miles by foot to Mosquito Beach and about 3 miles to Chapel Beach.
