The Bird Watching Boulder

Washington > Northeast Corne… > Spokane Area > Rocks of Sharon

Description

There are routes on all sides of this large 80' tall boulder, so finding a route in the sun or shade is possible at most times.
The rock quality on this boulder is very good with many pockets and knobs, including the large heuco halfway up Subconscious Birdwatcher(5.11a) which is visible as you approach Rocks of Sharon on the main access trail.
There are 11 routes ranging from 5.6 to 5.12a.

Getting There

From Big Rock at the top of the Rocks Of Sharon access trail, The Bird Watching Boulder is located by heading East along the base of The Rookie Wall and The Gem Stone and then heading downhill (South) on a small trail for about 3 minutes.
