Description
This area refers to the entire Chaos Canyon, or south, side of Hallett Peak, and all the mixed/ice/snow climbs found there.
Getting There
To access this portion of Hallett Peak, take either of the two trails to Lake Haiyaha (one from Dream Lake and one from the junction of the Mills Lake and Loch trails) and take the path of least resistance. Travelling through Chaos Canyon west of Lake Haiyaha earlier in the season, before the Park gets much snow, can be tedious and involve a lot boulder hopping (beware of falling through patches of weak snow over gaps between boulders), but later in the season it becomes much easier. Skis or snowshoes are helpful unless you're there early on a spring morning when the snow is still frozen.
