Description

The Special Spot is a sunny crag home to a half-dozen routes, almost exclusively 5.9 and 5.10. Most of these climbs need supplemental gear, and some require two ropes for descent. The are some very unique and enjoyable lines here, including The Javelin, the climb which graces the cover of the Kramar guidebook.

Be advised: The trail up to the Special Spot is in pretty dire straights. Also, the amount of erosion is making some parts of the cliff base hazardous. Please consider keeping group numbers low. Jul 6, 2008
