Is closed from 0.2 mi east of Angelus Oaks /at Mill Creek Rd/ to 4.6 mi east of Angelus Oaks /at Hill Ranch Rd/ (San Bernardino Co) - Due to mudslide - Motorists are advised to use an alternate route

Description

The east face of Motherlode Rock is a fairly long wall with climbs all along it's length with the highest concentration of climbs on the left side. Climbs here tend to be on the shorter side but a few exceptions exist and most routes feature excellent rock and protection. Morning sun and afternoon shade.

This area seems to be quite popular with groups of top-ropers, so be courteous as well as patient and enjoy the climbing.

Getting There

Easily reached from the vicinty of The Ampitheatre (Claim Jumper Wall, Gunsmoke Wall or Thunderbird Wall) by a network of trails or from the northern parking area by another series of trails.
