Description
Presumably named after the seepage that continuously oozes out of the rock, the Corrosion Cave has several lines ranging from 5.11c to 5.14a. Corrosion (5.13a) is the namesake route here, and is still climbable even when wet. The Warlord/Screaming target start is very popular and frequently has a queue on summer afternoons. The easiest route in the cave proper is Across the Universe (5.11+).
The slab to the left of the cave (the "Walk-by Slab") contains a variety of independent routes and link-ups from 10- to 12+ on more vertical terrain. The slab stays in the sun for a few hours after the cave due to its southern exposure, but eventually goes into the shade later on a summer afternoon.
