Area Description
The Shark's Fin is a small, solitary formation just south of the Comp Wall, Taco, and Fence Line Rock. The formation hosts a number of routes ranging in difficulty from 5.6 to 5.13.
The rock's namesake fin is the home of excellent, harder offerings such as Ian Cavanaugh's Great White Tuna and Mike Spaulding's Chumming, the latter of which was first ascended by professional climber Jonathan Siegrist during one of the annual Idaho Mountain Festivals hosted in the park. The rest of the formation contains a number of more moderate lines, many of which were contributed by Duane Ackerman.
