Is closed from 0.2 mi east of Angelus Oaks /at Mill Creek Rd/ to 4.6 mi east of Angelus Oaks /at Hill Ranch Rd/ (San Bernardino Co) - Due to mudslide - Motorists are advised to use an alternate route

Description

This is a more recently developed formation, and one of the better finds, with a small but good selection of long, well-protected routes, several of which are among the best of their grades for the area.

Visible from the upper parking area as a non-descript, jumbled-looking wall, which belies the quality climbing it affords. Highlights here include the long and varied Vertical Epic (5.10a) and the overhanging goodness of Arrogant Bastard (5.11a).

Well worth the short walk not only for the quality climbing, but for the lack of traffic common in the more popular areas of the Pinnacles.

Getting There

From the upper parking area (near Wilbur's Tombstone etc.) walk north along the dirt approach road and then cut left along a trail, which starts behind a large dead tree, to reach the base of the wall. The approach takes all of five minutes.
