Per JF M: as of May 2022, there is no signage on-site, nor information on the USFS webpage for the Cameron Peak Fire (nor on their published map of closures) that indicates the area is closed.
Per Bruce Hildenbrand: it appears that the Forest Service has closed access to all the climbing areas accessed via Storm Mountain Road (Monastery, Cedar Park, Combat Rock, etc.) until they can clear all the dangerous dead trees from the Cameron Peak fire.
I worked this issue with Eric Murdock at the AF, and it looks like the Forest Service picked Devil's Gulch Road as the southern boundary even though all the climbing areas on MP.com were not burned.
Description
This is a nice little picnic area along the North Fork of the Big Thompson River just downstream from the small town of Glen Haven. It was host to a few sport routes in the past, one of which remains intact with an anchor at the top.
Getting There
Head East out of Estes on Devil's Gulch road to Glen Haven. Continue past Glen Haven for another short mile until you see a picnic area on the right with obvious rock formations above.
Per Kevin Zagorda: the 2013 flood and subsequent rerouting of CR-43 has eliminated the picnic area and access to these climbs.
On the way home from a day at Lumpy Ridge, we stopped to check this place out. I attempted the route listed as special introductory offer (.11a) in the Gillett book. I onsighted the crux roof only to discover that there was no hanger on the third bolt! As you can imagine, I was fairly upset and had to bail from bolt #2. I dont know if any other hangers have been removed from the anchors or other routes. These routes are a little runout for sport routes, and missing hangers make them fairly dangerous. Proceed with caution.

[Hide Comment] Special Introductory Offer and Race Against Time have been rebolted with new chains at the anchors with biners on them. Both climbs can be accessed by wading the shallow stream in flip flops.
